1968 VOX AC-30STSUPER TWIN AMP – SERVICED AND WORKING
First thing to discuss is shipping. I will start by saying there will be no international shipping for this.
I would obviously prefer local pick-up but if I have to ship this amp, it will ship in 2 separate boxes. EBay does not provide a means for offering their automated shipping estimates for multiple boxes, so I will handle it this way: the auction will quote a fixed amount for shipping based on the worst case scenario pride-wise. I don’t know why, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the longest distance.
If you win the auction, wait for me to send you an invoice for shipping to your shipping address. If you’re in a hurry and you pay the entire amount before I invoice, I will refund the difference after I ship. I will ship UPS and only to the 48contiguous states (no Alaska nor Hawaii). It will take more than the usual 2days to ship because I will be building the boxes around the amp after the payment is made. That takes time to do right.
This amp has been my pride and joy but it’s time to let it go. This version of the AC30 has separate head and speaker cabinets and as far as I’m concerned, it’s the only way to go as it can be handled by one person. With the addition of casters, it is super easy to move around. It will be shipped with the casters off. The original rubber feet will be provided in case that is the way the new owner wants to go.
It has been serviced and those parts (such as electrolytic condensers) that needed replacement have been replaced.
The footswitch(Vox but not original) that operates the tremolo is permanently wired in (as with the original).
The Tolex is original and in nice shape however, it is rough on the bottom.
The grill cloth is not original but is a very good match to the original.
The chassis has been treated with a rust preventative which accounts for the black color. (see photos)
The speaker cones have been professionally repaired and are solid and sound great.
The voltage selector switch is stuck and permanently wired to US 120 VAC. A long grounded plug is installed.
Obviously, local pickup would be preferred but I can ship.
