Inside the better machine.
For some time now, we’ve
been calling Yamaha a
better machine. But don’t
think for a minute it’s just
another blue-sky promise.
Because we’re willing to tear our machine power and greater fuel economy. And a con-
down piece by piece to prove it’s
better.
Let’s begin with the frame.
As you
can see,
it’s a
double-
loop tubular
design.
What you
can’t see
is that it’s
made of
high-
tension steel
for greater
strength and
lighter weight.
And when the going gets rough, the rugged
Enduro front forks and new improved 3-step
adjustable rear shocks easily handle anything
that comes your way.
The engine? Smoothest, most dependable
two-stroke on the market. Why? For one thing,
our exclusive Autolube oil injection system.
The engine automatically gets the oil it needs
when it needs it. And the cylinder has two
extra transfer ports for greater torque, more
stant-mesh, five-speed gearbox
for smooth, fast shifting up or
down. And big dustproof/water proof
brakes front and rear for com-
plete control under all conditions.
A blue-sky promise, it’s not. A
better machine it is. Because we
build it better. And that goes
for every bike in the line, in-
cluding the 250
Enduro DT1-E pictured here and below.
