Knights Pythias, Knights Golden Eagle, Knights Templar Frock Coat Uniform

Description

This Knights Pythias, Knights Golden Eagle, or Knights Templar Long Frock Coat is unusual in that it is of summer weight construction made without a lining.
It is not an example where the original lining was removed.
The outer material is also lighter than ordinary.
This example was made by The Henderson Ames Company, Kalamazoo.
It is undamaged by moths and without worn spots or tears.
The only minor defects are a few missing buttons, the fabric covering is worn on some others, and the seam of the collar rear area has come loose and needs re-sewing.
There are nine front buttons in three groups of three rather than being evenly spaced.
I presume there is a meaning to the button placement but do not know what that is.
There are no red crosses on the cuffs which may be an indication of this uniform NOT from the Knights Templar, which I had understood used the crosses.
Overall it is a very decent example without dirty areas, odors, holes, tears, or insect damage.
