Vintage HUBLEY CINDERELLA'S CARRIAGE COACH Backlit LIGHTED Brass Cabinet Topper
HUBLEY CINDERELLA'S CARRIAGE COACH LIGHTED Cabinet Topper (This is sometimes referred to as a Doorstop which it is not, though it seems the exact looking item was cast as cast iron doorstop).  This is very large  complete with the 'mica' window.  It has a molded in nipple holder for a light fixture.  It Has a brass light socket with brass pull chain.  Light is working. No breaks or repairs in the Brass. Brass is patinated dark.  Photos represent condition, and are part of the description! A scarce vintage Topper, guaranteed to be genuine and old.  A pair of horses pull the carriage. Similar item Shown on page 170 of the reference book: Doorstops by Bertoia.   Measures app 17.75  long and just 8.5" high at the highest point and 3.5" Deep. Weighs 11 pounds before packing.  This has been restored with a Modern Light Socket and cord.  The Mica window  is new replacement.  CAbinet toppers were used as a lighted decoration in the 1930's to top radio and other cabinets of the day.  Bliss 011920
